Mr. Balumba is modern and effortful children's music with electronic production and a psychedelic twist.

Mr. Balumba is the project of musician and multimedia artist Andy Coenen, who spent his early years in the pioneering electronic music trio The M Machine, releasing several seminal EPs on Skrillex's OWSLA label. Now retired from touring and the proud father of two, Andy's focused his creative energy on building a musical world that parents and their children can love together.

Inspired by his son's immediate love for the classic Yellow Submarine, Andy decided to turn the ditties he found himself making up for everyday moments into something special. For instance, Let The Poop Go was the soundtrack for the changing table, and Ocho Verde was the song for his son's eponymous thrift-store green octopus toy. Every song in the Mr. Balumba is a story of a snapshot in time, painted in vibrant techicolor electronic soundscapes. The music of Mr. Balumba aims to be just as fun for parents as it is for kids, a soundtrack worth listening to and treasuring together throughout childhood.
